Philanthropy UK funding secured through 2011
We are very pleased to announce that the Office of the Third Sector (OTS) has renewed its strategic grant to support Philanthropy UK’s work through 2011.
David Gold, Chair of the Philanthropy UK Advisory Board, said, “Good philanthropy, like volunteering, is a positive act of civic participation. We are delighted that OTS has renewed its commitment to promoting a culture of giving, and hope that this leadership inspires other funders to recognise the important role that philanthropy support organisations play in strengthening civil society.”
Writing in our June 2008 Newsletter, Former Prime Minister Tony Blair tells donors: “Look for partnerships and synergy – with those active in other charities, and those whom you’re setting out to help.” Photo © Reuters
